Important information from Val’Isère, France

Ski season is finally happening. After all the COVID closures and regulations it looks like it will be an amazing season. Val D’Isire has some been doing some good things to help make this ski season fun, safe and helpful.

Val d’Isère is striving to offer optimum health and travel conditions for its visitors.

To facilitate the respect of French sanitary legislation and formal procedures related to the international travel regulations, Val d’Isère offers its guests a possibility to obtain an equivalence to the EU covid certificate (for non-EU nationals) and puts in place a dedicated covid testing centre.

Numerous new activities, the World Cup races, and many more - the upcoming winter season promises to be a thrilling adventure!

Covid-19 Testing in Val d’Isère

A dedicated covid-19 testing (PCR and antigen) centre will be available to all Val d’Isère guests in the centre of the resort. Starting from the beginning of December, an online scheduling platform will go live.

French and foreign customers will be able to create an account and book an appointment window in view of the availability of healthcare professionals. This service will be offered in English and French.

This centre is reserved for asymptomatic people only. In case of symptoms the guests are invited to contact one of Val d’Isère’s medical centres.

Covid certificates for non-EU nationals Val d’Isère’s pharmacy has been authorised to deliver EU Covid certificates of equivalence. The applicants are requested to provide:

  • ID card or passport

  • The original vaccine certificate mentioning the following mandatory information: vaccine type, lot number, place of vaccination.

Who is concerned?

Some non-EU countries, such as the UK, Switzerland, Israel, and several others, are not concerned by the certificates of equivalence. Please check the exact list here.

How to apply?

To ensure a timely delivery of the Covid Certificates, we encourage you to submit your guests’ applications in advance – as soon as the travel dates are known and original documents available.

To apply, please send an email request to dvs@pharmasolaise.com.
Please allow at least 72 hours to process the information and obtain the QR code.

The Covid certificates of equivalence are issued in hard copy only and can be collected in the pharmacy when the guests arrive in Val d'Isère. Sending digital versions of the Covid Certificates is strictly prohibited.

How much does it cost?

The price is of 36€ per certificate and is to be paid on site when the certificate is delivered.

A new ski touring trail “Brinzeï” opens in La Daille, with a 450m climb over 2.5km.

Village Perdu The Village Perdu, i.e. “lost village” is an eco-friendly and free-to-access playground perched in the heart of La Daille forest at an altitude of 2000m. Visitors stroll through the trees on suspended walkways linking wooden tree houses and an eagle’s nest. The playground is accessible even on skis!

Mountain Yeti This winter, children aged 5 to 12 can enjoy a 4-day course that combines adventure and education along the theme of mountain environment and experiences such as analysing snow, trapper activities in a yurt, snowshoe treasure hunt through Val d'Isère forest, igloo-building or Savoyard Olympics.

Mini Snowbile An introductory course in electric mini snowmobiling for the youngest guests of Val d'Isère starting from 5 y.o. A fun activity to enjoy the snow in a new way. The course includes various exercises and finishes with a series of rides on a dedicated and secure track in the heart of the resort.

Alpine Skiing World Cup

Val d'Isère hosts the event's 66th edition

The Critérium de la Première Neige is the key event in the Men's and Women's World Cup calendar.

The men's races will take place on December 11th and 12th on the legendary Face de Bellevarde slope.

The women's races will be held on December 18th and 19th on the Oreiller-Killy piste in la Daille.

The health pass is required to attend the event.
