  • Day 1: Arrival in Delhi overnight in Delhi

  • Day 2: Delhi Airport to Jaisalmer, walk the city

  • Day 3: Jaislamer (Gadisar Lake, Jain Temple, Jaisalmer Fort, Salim singh Ki Haveli)

  • Day 4: Jaislamer (Jeep safari to desert villages / Khuri sand dunes

  • Day 5: Jaisalmer-Jodpur (5 hours by car) Evening visit to asawant Thada, and Mehrangarh Fort

  • Day 6: Jodhpur Explore the Blue city

  • Day 7: Jodhpur-Ahore (2.5 hours by car) Evening Village walk

  • Day 8: Ahore visit nomadic villages around Ahore

  • Day 9: Ahore visit nomadic villages around Ahore

  • Day 10: Ahore-Udaipur (4 hours by car) City Palace, Durbar Hall & Jain Temple

  • Day 11: Udaipur-Varanasi by air (Sarnath Evening Arti with Rickshaw Ride)

  • Day 12: Varanasi Early morning boat ride on the Ganges/Explore the Ghats and narrow lanes of Varanasi

All accommodations have been selected for proximity to the best of what there is to see and will be solid 3 star hotels which we have vetted for quality. With some interesting heritage properties thrown in.

Schedule and activities are subject to change due to circumstances on the ground. All efforts will be made to keep to the propsed schedule of events and destinations.

Before you go

  • You will need an India Visa. You can apply for an e-tourist visa here.

  • Credit cards are widely accepted at major places but cash is king for local expenses. You can change money at the airport. ATM's can be few and far in-between. The rate as of now is about 60 rupees to the dollar.

  • We strongly advise you buy travel insurance. We recommend World Nomads

  • Most mobile phones work in India, but calls and data roaming can be expensive. Buying a local sim card can be difficult. Most accommodations will have wifi. We will have a mobile phone that will works in India. we will provide that number after booking trip.

  • You will need a current passport with at least months time of validity from your entrance to India, and a blank page for the visa.

  • It will be the dry season in Rajasthan. The weather will vary from hot during the day in the sun to chilly at night.
